Types of Computers

Computer are divided in following types in term of size
Microcomputers ( Personal computers )
The term microcomputer was introduced with the advent of single chip microprocessors. The various microcomputers are ;-
Desktop computers
Desktop computer is small in size and can put on the desk top that is why it known as destop. It is used in office, school, home, etc. Destop computer minimums have a moniter, keyboard, mouse, and a cpu.
Laptop computers
The primary benefil of a loptop computer is its small size and easy portability. A laptop computer can put om lap, that's the reason, it know as laptop. The keyboard, mouse,monitor and cpu all are bundled together in single machine. The notebook, palmtop computers are also come in the series of laptop.
Minicomputers
A mini computer is the computer which is referred to as the mid sized computers and they serve as the same functions as the normal destop computers. Minicomputers that are somewhere in between a microcomputer and a microcomputer.
Mainframe computers
The term mainframe computer was created to distinguish the traditional, large, institutional computer intended to service multiple users from the smaller,single, user machines.
